EVA is short for �Ethylene Vinyl Acetate�, a form of plastic made without chlorine. According to some research on the web, �EVA is a type of plastic that does not require a plasticizer and is bisphenol-a free, so it is considered to be non-toxic.� Although I would never say that any plastic is non-toxic, it seems a better alternative to regular old PVC/Vinyl.
