Vinyl shower curtains are used by you daily.
Just because they take a shower with you every day
it does not mean that you don't have to wash
them.
Vinyl shower curtains can get mildew,
build up soap scum and get discolored.
We
don't reccomend placing a vinyl shower curtain in a
washing machine. The constant agitation might chew
up your favorite curtain.
Here's a few tips to launder and help keep your
vinyl shower curtain clean
A weak solution of bleach and water can be
sponged on the vinyl shower curtain while it hangs
in your tub. Rinse off with your shower hose. Always
check for color fastness when using
bleach.
Another method is a solution of vinegar
and water sponged on your shower curtain while it
hangs in your tub. Rinse off with your shower hose.
Vinegar can be sponged on directly to the mildewed
areas. It is especially good at brightening ip clear
vinyl shower curtains.
If you curtain is especially soiled. Remove the
shower curtain from its hooks. Next lay the curtain
on a flat surface outside. Wet the curtain using a
garden hose. Followed by scrubbing the curtain with
a sponge and mixture of diluted bleach, using one
quart of water for every cup of bleach. Always check
for color fastness when using bleach. Rinse
thoroughly and repeat on other side if neccessary.
Finally either line dry or lay flat to dry.
Remember always use a shower liner to protect
your shower curtain. It is less expensive to replace a
shower liner than your favorite curtain
